Men’s Day: The best, little-known holiday.
To those unfamiliar and newly-inlagerated, “Mannertag” or Men’s Day, heils from Deutschland, and is the best uber version of Father’s Day although it consists of quite the opposite. NO neck ties, NO mugs, NO spending time out with the sig. other, NO playdates with her friend’s sig. others, NO kids… NO responsibilities! (except drinking beer or libations of your choice).
The date of changes each year as it coincides with Ascencion Day which is 40 days after Easter (there’s your alibi –no holes in it, yet Holy), but it does always land on a Thursday. Yes, a work day, but if you can’t take one day a year off for the best damn holiday on earth, then we don’t know what to tell you.
